Horse
& Pony Insurance can be a
nightmare and over the years Julie Andrews has seen some disasters
which can befall the uninitiated.
She is more than happy to explain policies to any horse owner, even if
they are not using her services. You can insure for practically every
eventuality.
The minimum cover Julie recommends is Death of Horse, Theft & Straying
and, if you are not a BHS/BSJA member, Public Liability. (As a BHS or BSJA
member, you automatically have Public Liability & Personal Accident
cover with your membership.)
The Public Liability cover is similar to Third Party Fire and Theft
insurance on your car - if you are involved in an accident, do not admit
liability, but get in touch with your insurance company immediately and
they will advise you on how to proceed.
Public Liability is an insurance to protect YOU from claims by other
people - NOT to protect other people from your horse!!
Other sections that can be covered are Vet Fees, Tack, Personal Accident
and Permanent Loss of Use (or some times called Permanant Incapacity.)
It all sounds so simple, but good advice will save you money and ensure
that you get the cover you need or put it another way the cover you
THOUGHT you had.
You will find Julie Andrews easy
to talk to and very
knowledgeable about the various options
available, so if you are worried about your existing policy or if its time
to renew give her a call on 01566 774161 or E-mail her for
a no obligation quote.
